Purchasing manager; Buying technician; Industrial buyer

Description

Purchases represent a large cost for companies, in terms not only of the acquisition of strategic products for production, but also non-strategic products (office equipment, etc.). Purchasing technicians are responsible for managing the purchase and procurement of products, in line with the manufacturing and distribution needs, selecting the best option on the basis of quality, service and price, as well as guaranteeing the level of service provided by the products assigned and helping to draw up the budget. These professionals work at medium or large enterprises in the chemical sector, with their role taking on particular importance at pharmaceutical companies. They work as part of a team or department under the supervision of the Purchasing Director and in particularly close collaboration with the production, marketing and commercial departments.
