Technical Demonstrator; Demonstrator of Foodstuff Products

Description

The Demonstrator Technician has the mission of showing customers the characteristics and applications of the company's products for which he/she works, of supporting the sales or marketing department, and with the aim of giving added value to the product that it sells (for example, new presentations or uses of the product). Additional responsibilities include managing and solving technical problems related to the product being sold.

Tasks

  • Attend to clients in order to meet their requests, always in a pleasant manner and with the intention of obtaining their loyalty and increasing the sales resulting from the sales activity.
  • Align their actions with the company's objectives and strategies.
  • Collect the specifications of the type of sales activity that the sales or marketing department wants to implement. In some cases, design the activity, and in other cases, follow the guidelines established by the person in charge of the activity.
  • Study the product that must be presented in order to determine its specific characteristics (for example, sensory attributes, raw materials used, technical properties, etc.) and be able to highlight them during the demonstration, in other words, show the improvements that can differentiate it from other similar products offered by the competition.
  • Collaborate on the applications of the product that will then be presented when the departments involved test them during the sales activity (sales, marketing, quality, research and development, financial, management).
  • Coordinate the visits to clients or demonstrations with the sales department.
  • Travel around based on the schedules drawn up by the sales department.
  • Prepare the tools and machinery necessary for the presentation.
  • Carry out demonstrations at the client's facilities or at the location pre-arranged by the sales department; for example, in front of visitors that stop by the stand, in the case of trade fairs. In general, their representative is a member of the client's purchasing, R&D or quality department.
  • Provide clarification and answer questions during and after the demonstration.
  • Can provide information to the company on the clients' needs and/or market trends.
  • Attend training courses and research the specific new developments of the sector, as well as the trends related to the demand of a certain client group.
  • Provide technical support to the rest of the company's salespersons.
