Description
Shop assistants at shops that sell perfumes and beauty and hygiene products are responsible for directly welcoming, attending and selling products to clients that do not require special handling. One of their main goals is to expand and establish the portfolio of clients who come into the shop, providing and selling products (that don't require technical training) and providing personalised service that is satisfactory and high quality. They are also responsible for advising clients, evaluating their aesthetic needs and providing the recommended products in each case. The perfumery and cosmetics retail trade sector is characterised by including a large divserity of products, constantly changing, the majority defined as mass market. They will sell products like perfumes, soaps, lotions, hair dyes, shampoos, creams, high-range cosmetics, natural cosmetics, bath salts, depilation and tanning products, shaving products, body oils, bath gels, nail care and makeup, as well as many other products. Shop assistants generally report to the shop manager or department manager.
