Electrical Machinery Fitter; Electrical Machines and Circuit Boards Fitter; Electronic Equipment and Machines Fitter

Professional who joins, fits, modifies and maintains electrical, electromechanical and electronic equipment components, such as image and sound recording systems and communication systems, and installs and repairs electrical installations, in accordance with the relevant technical rules and regulations.

Work is carried out at companies of all sizes devoted to the manufacture, fitting and maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment; the manufacture of IT, electronic and optical products; the manufacture of electrical material and equipment; the repair of electrical equipment and of electronic and optical equipment; reporting to a hierarchical superior.

• Carry out joining operations during the assembly of electrical and electronic equipment following established quality and safety conditions and in accordance with the instructions received:
  Link the electrical and electronic components and systems of the machines they manufacture.
  Position, align and fasten parts to frames using manual or motorised tools and tin soldering and microsoldering equipment.
  Activate machines for winding used wire coils on electrical equipment and components, such as recorders, transformers, armature winding, electrical engines and generators.
  Fit electronic components on printed circuit boards.
  Carry out fastening and labelling operations during the assembly of electrical and electronic equipment.
• Carry out connection operations during the fitting of electrical and electronic equipment:
  Place connectors on the conductors to fit the electrical and electronic equipment.
  Interconnect elements and carry out fastening and labelling operations during the assembly of electrical and electronic equipment.
  Inspect and test components and wiring installations and circuits to ensure that they function correctly.
• Carry out auxiliary operations during maintenance of electrical and electronic equipment:
  Carry out opening and disassembling operations of electrical and electronic equipment.
  Carry out element replacement, fitting and joining operations during electrical and electronic equipment maintenance processes.
  Carry out auxiliary operations during maintenance processes, following the instructions given.

• Work hours

  The working day may be subject to the production needs of the company. This is normally a full working day (8 hours), but at times of high or low demand changes may be made to working hours, shifts established or overtime worked.

• Salary

  16.627 to 23.764 Euros a year. Median: 19.877 euros annum gross. The salary will vary according to the professional category of the worker.
