High-performance process engineer
Description
High performance process engineers are dedicated to researching, developing and implementing improvements in the process of production of radio frequency and microwaves machines being developed for use in satellites and which offer the guarantee of high operative performance. The need to establish this guarantee derives from the importance taken on in the case of these devices of their ability to function continuously, alongside the operations of the satellites. The main features of the space industry are the production of very limited series of products and the subsequent introduction of variations in the equipment in order to improve the product. The aim of this role is to optimise the production process on all fronts, including the possibility of incorporating replacement materials.
Tasks
- Define and prepare proposals for management related to the acquisition of production equipment.
- Define and optimise the processes, materials and machinery.
- Update the production process and propose the adoption of new techniques and equipment that come out on the market.
- Monitor and implement the proposed improvements.
