The duty of the company mobility plan specialist is to help increase the quality of workers' travels and to devise mobility plans to prevent traffic congestion in the vicinity of the company. This occupational profile is mainly found in privately owned companies which need to manage all aspects related to staff mobility; it can also come in the shape of a business consultant for companies that due to their size do not require this profile on a permanent basis, although they do need to solve mobility issues, by improving itineraries for instance. This profile tends to be employed by the company on a permanent basis, rather than as an outsourced consultant.


  • Research and analyse company mobility plans.
    There is a growing need for companies with staff dedicated to driving to define and plan company mobility, taking into account both its needs and the safety of the workers.
  • Investigate and anticipate accidents on the way to and from work, in partnership with the service devoted to the prevention of risk in the workplace.
    Accidents on the way to or from work are those which employees may suffer when travelling from home to work and vice versa, or during the working day, due to work-related causes. The mobility specialist therefore has to anticipate potential accidents, working in partnership with the company's occupational risk prevention service.
  • Coordinate mobility policies with companies located in the same area, such as industrial estates, logistic activity areas, etc.
  • Devise and implement company employee mobility plans to speed up travel while guaranteeing safety. Act as a link between the company and workers.
  • Train workers on the subject of mobilityand establish mobility-related promotional and educational measures in the company.
    This involves providing continuous training to workers, especially for those who need to travel more frequently due to their area of responsibility. Also in charge of identifying any gaps or deficiencies and determining how these can be addressed, raising employee awareness, for instance, on issues such as driving under the influence or speeding.
