Description

The trainer of vocational programmes is responsible for providing educational and vocational training courses in the field of knowledge in which he/she specialises. The aim of this training is to facilitate the incorporation of the people who receive it into the labour market or to enable them to continue studying within the regulated education system.

This professional can exercise his/her profession through courses in approved centres of official institutions, such as the Catalan Employment Service (SOC), but he/she can also undertake training in employment promotion programmes such as trade schools, workshop schools, employment schemes, etc.

Tasks

  • The tasks of the trainer of vocational programmes are as follows:
    - Programming training actions, defining the objectives of the courses and establishing their timing.
    - Preparing the training material: contents, examples and exercises, suitable for the audience attending the training, which may be unemployed people, employed people, young people, people over 45 years old, etc.
    - Deliver and dynamise training of small groups, between 10 and 20 people.
    - Resolving the doubts of the students regarding the subject taught, both in class hours and in the hours set for tutoring sessions.
    - Combine the training tasks with those of professional orientation and personalised tutoring with the aim of improving the students' labour insertion.
    - Keeping track of training attendance and collecting the evaluation questionnaires completed by the trainees.
    - Evaluate the level of qualification achieved by the trainees.
    - Evaluate in retrospect the suitability of the training carried out.
    - Draw up reports on the development of the training that reflect the evaluation elements mentioned in the previous points.
    - Make proposals for the improvement of the training taking into account the results of the evaluations carried out.
