Vocational e-learning trainer

Description

The virtual trainer teaches e-learning activities so that the target audience acquires skills specific to a certain professional or occupational area. Their functions include the planning, coordination, promotion, assistance and assessment of the training activity on virtual e-learning platforms.

The vocational e-learning trainer has technical skills specialised in a specific professional area (which determines the training activity's content and their qualification level), methodological and teaching skills aimed at training, and technological skills, since they must know how to use remote training systems via the Internet.

Tasks

  • Plan and schedule the training actions adapted to the characteristics of the people and to their qualification needs within the framework of virtual e-learning platforms.
    Analyse the training needs and demands of the students.
    Design the training process with the respective objectives, content and methods.
    Identify the multimedia processes and resources necessary for achieving the objectives of the training activities.
    Coordinate the training with the rest of the activities of the centre and its professionals.
  • Transfer the content of the training actions to virtual training platforms, and adapt the educational approach and teaching instruments to the characteristics and functionality of the virtual training systems.
    Prepare the thematic content and activities in accordance with platform's characteristics of operation and navigation.
    Design the operation of the training system, according to the subject matter and students, defining guidelines that will govern the correct monitoring of the training actions (content sequence, files, tutoring, access control, student interaction mechanisms, etc).
    Design the multimedia materials (audio, video or animation support) necessary for the achievement of the training activities' objectives.
  • Promote distance training activities.
    Assess the optimal learning conditions (comprehensibility, visibility, speed of response, etc.) during the training activity.
    Promote the programme's training content through the appropriate techniques, strategies and resources (chats, forums, etc).
    Facilitate the students' joining of the virtual community and involve the student in the training process in order to favour proactive participation in the activities.
    Tutor, supervise and assist during the individual learning process of each student, using distance learning tools.
  • Advise on and promote the students' reintegration into the labour market through vocational guidance activities included in the training process.
    Promote the attitudes and skills necessary for actively searching for, keeping or being promoted in a job.
    Provide the tools and techniques necessary for integration into the labour market
    Announce the public and private resources of the territory related to the job market (agencies, placement agencies, company directories, etc.) and the training system (complementary studies, etc).
  • Organise and provide guidance for the carrying out of a work experience at the company (in the case of training for the unemployed):
    Contact and select the companies.
    Agree on the content and monitoring of the work experiences with those who manage the companies.
    Assign the students to different companies.
    Follow-up on the student and manage the carrying out of the agreements.
  • Assess the procedural and final results of the training activity by applying the appropriate assessment procedures and techniques.
    Assess the achievement of the objectives (satisfaction, learning, applicability and impact) of each of the activities carried out.
    Manage, monitor and assess, in a permanent and personalised manner, the progress of the student in the training process and the qualification level reached. Incorporate quality improvements in the training given.
    Communicate the quality improvements that must be implemented in the e-learning platforms.
  • Promote the innovation and updating of technical and teaching materials.
    Participate in virtual training programmes and courses in order to identify technological innovations in the distance training platforms.
    Establish exchange mechanisms with other trainers and professionals.
