Description

The mission of this professional, usually employed in the marketing department of a company that has electronic sale service channels, is to introduce and develop comprehensive management of a whole line of products or related services by Internet (for example, in the case of a large distribution chain: frozen food, soft drinks, juices, doughs, preserves, wine, dairy products, Christmas products, Mediterranean diet, etc.), frequently from different brands and suppliers. Each category is considered a separate business unit and, to optimize return, uses a series of business strategies such as the design of a specific distribution plan (merchandising), price and promotion strategies designed to meet consumer preferences, etc.

Tasks

  • Analyze sources of information on the e-consumer, distribution, digital consumers and Internet brands and products.
  • Define categories and subcategories.
  • Make an inventory and analyze the position of the product line and its brands (in-depth).
  • Identify target sectors.
  • Design the distribution plan.
  • Organize the process for implementation of category management in an electronic distribution channel, coordinating the supplier-distributor relationship to collect data on user behavior.
  • Design diagnosis and provision plans, the specific pricing and promotions policy, customized promotions, etc.
  • Analyze the results for sales and returns.
  • Participate in the modification, change and withdrawal of products, etc.
  • Coordinate the company marketing and sales departments to introduce action plans in the areas where they are applicable.
  • Coordinate the strategy of the service channel with the people responsible for other sales service channels.
