Description

This medical practitioner specialises in the study of water for its therapeutic, aesthetic or wellness-related applications. Their general medical knowledge is topped off by an expertise in the mineromedicinal and thermal effects of water, as well as how to apply them.

Tasks

  • See patients, determining a suitable treatment depending on their needs (curative, therapeutic or wellness-related).
    Deal with cases of physical and psychological healing and recovery.
    Establish treatments aiming to prevent illnesses (respiratory, dermatological, circulatory, rheumatic, arthrosis, osteoporosis, etc.).
    Help people who need to improve their health because of addiction to smoking, alcholism, stress or weight problems.
    Recommend health and appearance-related treatments (cellulitis, acne, etc.).
    Help people who come for wellness and pleasure-related advice and treatments.
  • Recommend treatments based on hydrotherapy and specific diets.
    Hydro massage therapy.
    Inhalation therapy.
    Kinesitherapy in its various forms (manual therapy, stretching, functional re-education, etc.).
    Water gymnastics applied to neurology, traumatology, rheumatology and cardiovascular pathology. Indications and contraindications for Finnish saunas and Turkish baths.
    Physical exercises.
    Alternative diets.
  • Monitor patients' progress and assess the results of the treatments prescribed.
