Art-net and e-culture managers are creative profiles with in-depth knowledge of the Internet and other digital supports that are used to promote interactive cultural products with possibilities of having broad social, economic or cultural diffusion. These communicators or content publicists use subject-based portals and other multimedia supports to obtain their objectives. Their function consists of contributing added value to cultural projects from the digital aspect. The products that these art-net and e-culture managers want to publicise are related to what is known as art-net (or net-art), which is the artistic trend that is developed thanks to the Internet and with e-culture and digital culture, namely, the expression of culture via the Internet. Thus, these communicators must master these supports and fully understand their possibilities.

Tasks

  • Responsible for promoting culture (particularly digital culture) on the internet and publicising it as an economic value.
    To do so, must have extensive cultural background and knowledge of new artistic trends, as well as excellent communication skills.
  • Take charge of publicising the cultural or artistic product and maintaining their related contents on the internet.
  • Work with creatives and designers to build multimedia supports that help disseminate an artist's product or service or those of a specific group of artists.
  • Responsible for the image and visibility of information about the artists represented; in order to promote them, maintain close contacts with the press, institutions and spaces on which the artists can publicise their works in order to obtain the greatest public presence possible.
