Description

This professional carries out operational scheduling duties related to product range production and supply in accordance with previously drawn up schedules and the instructions of the operational manager. This figure is key to planning and preparing the operations involved in the production process, given that he organises and carries out the follow-up of the data entered in the IT system, the purpose being to determine the workload and define the various, relevant means of production. This task requires him to be very methodical and meticulous, as any mistake may lead to errors in the product manufacturing schedule. The programmer must be highly familiar with the IT system, materials and resources (machines and staff) used in the production process, given that he must organise production according to the requirements of the Sales management and in accordance with the productive capacity of the company. Reports to the Scheduling Manager.

Tasks

  • Execute programming procedures.
  • Fulfil operational duties related to the logistics programme and its management: work out, analyse, assess and implement logistics chain improvement proposals.
  • Execute programme implementation tasks as per the instructions of the operational manager.
  • Enter the appropriate information into IT systems to draw up parameters and indicators.
  • Draw up production and supply lists and schedules.
  • Review and optimise schedules according to potential variations.
  • Check the fulfilment of plans, observe potential deviations and inform the operational manager accordingly.
