Public relations is defined such as strategies to generate confidence between the company and its public, and so encourage a positive attitude. Professionals in the hotel industry responsible for public relations manage the communication of hotels and establishments in this industry. They handle the relationship with media, the design and implementation of events and activities, the coordination of sponsorship actions and, above all, that guests get a satisfactory image of the establishment.


  • Personally attend to important guests, welcoming them and accompanying them, even outside the hotel.
  • Organize information channels for notifying guests about the services offered by the establishment.
  • Participate in solving the problems and claims presented by guests.
  • Represent the hotel in different events, acts, meetings... they could be useful for correct promotion of the establishment, its image and its service offer.
  • Organize events, exhibitions, luncheons, conferences, guided visits, etc. for the same purpose.
  • Provide information about the establishment to the media by granting interviews, the organization of press conferences, distribution of advertising material, etc.
  • Coordinate sponsorship activities.
  • Analyze surveys to determine guest satisfaction.
  • Be responsible for protocol issues in the hotel (visits from personalities, institutional gifts, organization of events, etc.).
  • Depending on the establishment, be responsible for contracting outside services for the hotel.
  • Maintain an updated database of guests, suppliers, collaborators, companies, media... send them any selective information considered necessary or send them invitations to the different events programmed.
  • Be the hotel spokesman on occasions (crisis management).
