This professional plans, manages and oversees all of the management procedures implemented whether in relation to quality management, the management of the environmental impact of textile manufacturing, or systems for ensuring health and safety in the workplace.

The integration of the three systems represents an emerging phenomenon at companies. Similarities between systems not only lets resources be optimised by taking advantage of synergies, but also enables a closer connection between the systems and the company strategy and improves quality management.


  • Implement and monitor the organisation's Integrated Quality, Environmental and Safety System.
  • Periodically brief the General Manager about the status and enhancement of the Integrated Management System.
  • Establish and manage the application of quality, environmental and safety standards in all of the production processes, whether on-site or outsourced to External Workshops.
  • Report incidents to the production manager.
  • Carry out internal Quality, Environmental and Safety audits.
  • Set Quality, Environmental and Safety goals and targets, as well as a programme to achieve these.
  • Identify Non-conformities throughout the production process: from the sourcing of raw materials, other materials and complements, all the way through to the production process and delivery of articles to clients.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective and or preventive actions trialled.
  • In the absence of the Laboratory Manager or Supervisor, control the quality of raw materials, other materials, complements and finished articles.
  • Analyse and seek solutions to the possible quality-related issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Manage the Maintenance and Calibration Plan for manufacturing and/or measurement machines.
  • Receive the manufacturing plan, with details of the raw materials, other materials and complements to be used, parameters to control (e.g. the temperature at which the process should be carried out, quality, environmental conditions), inspections and documentation to produce.
  • Consider and iron out all issues relating to the manufacturing plan with the shift manager.
  • Ensure the recording, identification and separation of defective or non-compliant articles in order to subsequently analyse these in accordance with the protocols established by the company.
  • Review the records of the results of process parameter controls and inspections as laid out in the work plan for each article.
  • Correctly manage waste (cleaning of equipment and machinery, offcuts, immediate by-products).
  • At all times adopt the measures set forth in the company's regulations and work in accordance with standards for safety in the workplace.
