VFX producer, Special effects supervisor

Visual effects supervisors are responsible for overseeing and monitoring the production of all of the optical effects made using digital technologies that are used in an audiovisual product. This includes both highly obvious special effects and more discreet visual effects that are created in order to make the viewer feel particular sensations. They use their imagination and creativity, as well as the most sophisticated computer products, to create all sorts of effects and illusions called for by the production script. Their role, which is largely confined to the laboratory and post-production areas, is chiefly used in film and television products. Visual effects supervisors should have managerial skills and a strong technical background.
