Description
Space electronics quality technicians ensure the quality of electronic communication equipments to be used in space satellites. These machines should be highly reliable and resistence due to the importance of their role and the conditions to which they are subjected during the operation of the satellites in which they are installed. The quality inspection and control process involves carrying out appropriate controls and tests, normally using specific programmes, from the tests performed when the components are received to those carried out during the production of the system, before it is delivered to the client.
Tasks
- Inspect the components of the electronic communications system and the operation of manufactured subsets during the production process.
- Registers all inspections and controls undertaken. In this industrial economy, requirements in terms of the traceability of the production process are very rigorous. All evidence should be registered with pertinent results so as to guarantee quality practices certified by the fulfillment of all established requirements for the operation of the system.
- The traceability of the process allows all comprehensive components integrated in the equipment and operations made during its manufacturing.
- Prepare the documentation on quality protocols specified by the client. Generally, the format and landmarks of control are established by common consent with the client. This supporting documentation is included in the final product.
- When monitoring satellites, it is important that this professional undergoes solar radiation resistance tests.
