This professional designs all types of educational activities and projects at museums and other cultural facilities (collections of historic buildings, interpretation centres, archaeological parks, theatres, etc). Their projects are tailored to the centre's mission and action plan, and to the profile of the public to which these are aimed, acting as programmes that support the educational objectives of each organisation. The ultimate goal of the educational services of museums and other cultural organisations is to bring art and culture closer to youth, in the most educational way possible.


  • Defines the objectives of the educational project.
  • Determines the education services and methodology to be used.
    Analyse the subject matter on which the contents will be based: archaeology, history, science, technique, etc., depending on demand
    Take the museum's or cultural institution's mission and action plan into account.
    Take the learning setting into account.
  • Define the recipients of the service, taking into account their profile, motivations, interests, educational needs and learning methods and the social context in which they are framed.
  • Plan the human resources needed to put the project into practice and if they require previous training in methodological techniques and/or contents.
  • Execute the design itself for the workshop, guided tour or activity.
    Decide which contents need to be conveyed.
    Plans the required actions, taking the characteristics into account of the environment where they are going be done.
    Determine the group sizes and the time needed to perform the activity.
    Considers the complementary learning materials and determines when during the activity these should be used.
  • Carries out an assessment and results analysis to check the visitor's response and the level of content assimilation, which can be done, for example, through satisfaction surveys.
