Description

The function of the quality control technician is to guarantee the correct operation of interactive products that are either marketed or active on the internet, according to the plans of the analysts and multimedia designers and the publishing manager. Publishing on magnetic support is gaining an increasing presence and requires constant follow-up and maintenance for the positioning and continuity of the products involved.

Tasks

  • Work in the production phase.
    Be involved in the production phase of the multimedia production, from the moment of the commission from the publishing company, to determine the objectives and functionality of the service provided to the consumer.
  • Perform quality analysis prior to launch.
    Analyze and revise the work on multimedia support when it is completed and before its launch or marketing.
    Revise all elements that guarantee the functionality of an audiovisual product.
    Take all possible steps that could be taken by a user to ensure correct operation.
    Sometimes make use of computer programs that help detect errors in the heavy use of a multimedia production.
    If necessary, suggest any modifications or corrections that should be carried out to the professional involved in the pre-production phase (multimedia analyst, multimedia designer, multimedia programmer or digital editor) .
    Revise texts and, if necessary, make appropriate corrections.
  • Perform maintenance tasks.
    Control the position and correct operation of all the elements making up the multimedia production, such as functions, buttons, design, audio and video elements, and active phases.
    Propose new functionalities that can improve the product in a second launch stage, if working with products on physical support like CD-ROM, or immediately, if it is a Web-based product.
