Certified technician, responsible for the environmental management policies used by services companies or in buildings (hotels, schools, office blocks, public buildings, blocks of housing, etc.). This technician should be able to sustain an Environmental Management System and, where applicable, apply good environmental practices aimed at streamlining and improving the management of natural and energy resources, as well as implementing technical and functional changes, including raising awareness about good environmental practices amongst clients and users.


  • Apply the objectives and goals of an environmental management programme for the building, in accordance with significant environmental aspects and the environmental policy defined by managers and users of the services building.
  • Apply technical and organisational measures aimed at production minimisation and promoting the recycling of municipal waste and, where applicable, special waste (toners, fluorescent lights, etc.), according to environmental regulations in force.
  • Perform maintainance of saving devices for water, electricity and material consumption.
  • Publicise good environmental practices among users and clients.
  • Promotes the use of renewable energies in the building.
  • Apply work procedures and instructions aimed at controlling environmental vectors and monitoring and the application of corrective actions to the building's environmental management system, where applicable.
  • Work jointly on auditing the system with the auditing team.
  • Oversee its performance and take environmental records for the building's equipment and infrastructures with the aim of adapting operations to established criteria.
  • Apply established criteria to managing procurement, maintenance, cleaning and other outsourced services.
  • Communicate the results of its environmental management according to record results, the monitoring processes and the audit.
  • Work jointly on dissemination among clients and users of the results of implementing the environmental management system.
