Project: Treball als barris

A project from Barcelona City Hall and subsidised by the Catalonia Occupation Service to promote occupation and to give a socio-economic drive to different of the city's districts.

This project forms part of the proximity economic development strategy in the city of Barcelona. It bears in mind the characteristics of each district, their specific needs and potential. Actions are developed to drive and nurture occupation to the measure of each district, above all in the more vulnerable areas which need special attention.

The broad aims of the project are the following:
- To bring forward and increase people's opportunities.
- To enhance occupational insertion for the unemployed in greatest difficulty.
- To work in close coordination with the districts' associative and economic fabric.
- To promote strategies for economic and social development in the districts.

Districts with cohesion, opportunities, occupation and economic development = districts with a future
