Commerce/Restaurant Cycle: connect with retail companies! MTC449

Discover the job opportunities of commerce within the framework of the European Capital of Trade 2026 in Barcelona. Participate in a table with professionals from the sector who will explain what companies are looking for today and what skills are valued. The session includes a networking space to connect directly. An opportunity to get closer to the sector and activate your job search.

 People in the process of looking for a job and/or professional improvement.

What will you achieve with this activity?

-Identify the professional profiles most in demand in commerce and their main functions. 

- To recognise the skills that companies value in order to access and remain in the sector. 

-Facilitate direct contact with agents of the commercial fabric, favoring networking opportunities and approach to the labor market.

13:00 Welcome by Barcelona Activa.

13:05 Context of trade in Barcelona, European Trade Capital 2026 and main challenges and opportunities of the sector by:

-Silvia Ruiz, Director of Commerce, Restaurant and Food Services of the Barcelona City Council.

13:25 Round table discussion with:
-Cristina Cortés, Director of the Selection and Training Area at Sorli.
-Miriam Salvador, Head of UN People and Structure at Veritas.
-Elisabet Vilalta, General Manager of Comertia.
-Roser Vidal, HR Manager at Vidal Group (Vidal, OKEY, Jack & Jones).
