The Proxim Service is aimed at immigrants who meet the requirements for administrative regularisation and provides them with dual support. It offers legal advice in the administrative regularisation process and also advises on the definition of a professional goal and a work plan to achieve it.

What does this Service offer you?

Socio-labour support

• Knowledge of the environment, language, and culture of the country.
• Career and training guidance, training in key and transversal skills, and job search techniques.
• Professional training.
• Personalised support throughout the process with the assignment of a reference tutor.
• Monitoring and support for insertion into companies and for those starting a contract.

Legal assistance:

• Support and advice in legal procedures related to regularization.
• Advice to companies for hiring.
• Coordinated work with SAIER, Immigration Directorate, and Government Subdelegation.

Who is the Service aimed at?

The following individuals may participate if referred by municipal agents:

• Those in situations of administrative irregularity.  
• Those in situations of supervening irregularity (they have had a NIE at some point).
• Those seeking asylum who have been denied refugee status.
• Those with a residence permit without authorisation to work.

This scheme has two priority channels for obtaining legal status: 

• Social and labour integration.
• Social and educational integration.

To participate in the Scheme, individuals must be referred by the following municipal agencies: 

• Care Service for Immigrants, Emigrants and Refugees (SAIER)
• Municipal Institute of Social Services (IMSS): Social Services Centres Làbora Pilot.. LABase.
• Municipal Institute of Social Services (IMSS): Department of Homelessness Assistance Services:
  • Temporary collective accommodation.
  • EAVANA (Unauthorised Street Vending Response Team).
  • SASSEP (Social Services for Homelessness in Public Spaces).
  • SOASS (Social Guidance Service for Homeless People).
  • SDI (Detection and Intervention Service for unaccompanied migrant children, adolescents and young people).
• Assistance, Recovery and Reception Service (SARA).
• Agency for Comprehensive Approach to Sex Workers (ABITS). 
• Barcelona Activa employment service users.
