Description
In charge of developing applications and systems which enable the production of multimedia signals, which entails calculating audio, video and graphic signal processing algorithms which when multiplexed or combined constitute the desired multimedia signal. To carry out his/her duties, this person must have a sound command of signal processing, from the capture or reception of the signal, digital treatment processes and the subsequent end-treatment for the transmission or emission of the analogue or digital signal. Must also be familiar with specific algorithms, applicable standards, the design techniques and tools used in the development of digital processing products and relevant tests.
Tasks
- Define and develop the software or specific tools required to produce multimedia applications in accordance with application and multimedia service standards.
- Design and optimise algorithms for the modulation, compression and detection of audio, video and graphic signals. Use software tools which enable the implementation and simulation of components and subsystems associated with signal processing (filters, modulators, receptors, etc.) to prove these algorithms.
- Establish technical solutions which address the need for privacy, security, reliability and quality in terms of signal encoding, processing and transmission.
- Present the software and or hardware in a compact manner. Prepare and carry out the relevant quality assurance tests.
