These professionals facilitate companies the introduction of strategies and sales models related to digital technologies. To do this, they advise companies, considering their activities and their activity sector, and once the solution has been agreed, design and apply it through the network (web and mobile and tablets apps) with the aim of facilitating and enhancing business transactions.

These professionals should have a broad range of knowledge: on one hand, they should know how a company is managed in order to be able to apply the most suitable technological solutions according to the strategic need of the organisation, and on the other, they develop this strategic need, so they should have a command of information and communication technologies.

Thus, in a first phase, they study the value chain of the client company, in order to see in which points the technological system to be applied should have an impact, and in a second phase, they implement the chosen technological solution to the website or platform of e-Commerce, taking care of the catalogue and the organisation of the products, the search system and everything related to the online showcase and the payment system used by the website or platform to invoice sales.


Advise the company on the strategy it should undertake:
  • Analyse the current situation of the company (requirements, risks, strengths and weaknesses) and its position within the market and sector.
  • Define the strategic environment on which the e-Commerce project is based and the company's future objectives.
  • Identify the e-Commerce system that best suits the needs of the company to operate in network: Business to Consumer (B2C), Business to Business (B2B), Peer to Peer (P2P), Consumer/Business to Government (B2C/G) Business to Employee (B2E), Business to Business to Consumer (B2B2C), or Business to Network to Consumer (B2N2C), among others. All of them are types of e-commerce with functionalities adapted to the actors involved (suppliers, vendors and customers) and the communication channels (web and applications for mobile devices and tablets).

Coordinate and supervise the application of technology solutions:
  • Develop the architecture for the information models to be applied, as well as the security levels.
  • Customize, maintain and program e-Commerce platforms free software (Magento, PrestaShop, Shopify, osCommerce, or ATG Dynamo).
  • Program web applications and mobile devices using different programming languages (PHP, SQL javascript, CMS, CSS, jQuery, HTML, among others).
  • Manage secure transaction mechanisms by analysing and applying the most appropriate payment system on the web (Paypal, bank card, virtual currency, bank transfer, Paybox, Mobipy) and by phone (m-payment systems or Google Wallet, among others).
  • Integrate the e-Commerce platform in social networks by developing applications for Facebook, Twitter and others.
  • Propose SEM (Search Engine Marketing) strategies and SEO (Search Engine Optimization) in web portals.

Perform overall tests and specific process integration tests.
  • Measure the general results of the applied system and monitor it.
  • Implement the training plan for employees who are to work in the new environment.
  • Consider new business opportunities and optimisation of online sales channels, considering the e-commerce solutions implemented and the results.
