Description

The account engineer the professional with the best understanding of the business of the company's largest customers. The job is basically commercial, but also involves consultancy, as this professional is responsible for adapting and proposing computer solutions that adapt to the customer's business model. This profile maintains the whole business relationship with customers: follow-up of implementation, invoicing, control over satisfaction, compliance with SLA's (Service Level Agreements), etc. .Proposal of the sale of new company products to customers. The account engineer is a hybrid profile that requires enormous commercial ability as well as technical knowledge. They usually have few customers that they know in great detail.

Tasks

  • Research client needs.
    Be concerned about the customer's business and what they value most to apply this to offers (prices, time to market, delivery times, quality, etc.).
    Anticipate technology solutions for possible problems in the customer's business through a deep knowledge of this core activity.
  • Coordinate the presentation and sale of products to customers.
    Work as a sales representative and sell company solutions to clients.
    Provide technical support during demonstrations by the pre-sale engineer responsible for merely technical presentations of products offered to customers.
    If necessary, refer to the ICT consultant market research in the customer's sector and its business possibilities.
    Define the product's competitive edges to the customer.

    Make sure that the customer is satisfied with the service or product.
    Guarantee compliance with SLA's, for example those related to incident resolution times.
    Ensure that the invoicing is correct and that charges are made as negotiated.
    Suggest updates or changes to the service or product when it is obsolete.
  • Seek new customers.
    Perform market studies to try to attract new customers.
