Urban mobility is a field in constant growth and development, mainly on account of the increase in the number of people living or working in urban environments. In turn, this has resulted in an increase in journeys between work and home and the demand that these individuals create for goods that have to be transported throughout the city. Urban mobility can be divided between private and public transport, whether mass (metro, train, bus, etc.) or individual (car-pooling). The growth in the demand for urban mobility represents a complex puzzle, full of challenges including the development of a more sustainable economy with a smaller impact on the environment.
