Description

This professional works in the context of equipment and instrument suppliers, set aside for water treatment plant processes. As manager of a specific product line, your objective will be to focus on the detection of potential new customers. In most cases these will be water treatment and purification plants. This role simultaneously combines technical and management aspects, as on the one hand, a good understanding of the sector is required; the main shareholders and available technologies. Furthermore, understanding of how businesses work is necessary, specifically in terms of business management and communication strategies.

Tasks

  • Prepare the annual marketing plan for the product line assigned. This task involves a market research study by means of a numerical analysis of the volume and market share, sales forecast, product figures of the major competitors, etc.
  • Define the main objectives and calendar of necessary activities on the basis of analysis conducted.
  • Execute pertinent actions throughout the planned term, comparing the planned and resultant impacts, detecting deviations in the planning, proposing improvements, etc.
  • Collaborate in communication plans associated with the product line. Help to define guidelines to be followed in relation to the different tools of the plan (website, news bulletins, publicity, press releases, etc.).
  • Provide support to sales engineers. Take charge of solving any doubts that less-experienced members of the sales team might have. Seek to solve technical queries relating to applications, participate in presentations and visits to clients, carry out training in new products and define the qualitative and quantitative needs of the commercial team.
  • Maintain direct contact with the factory and divisions responsible for the production process. Responsible for coordinating new product launch campaigns, negotiating special prices for certain projects and clients and, finally act as communication link with other production centres, if the company has subsidiaries.
