Description

These professionals are are involved in designing and commissioning electrical installations. Their role involves technical and infrastructure-related aspects which ensure that the work is executed properly and in the proposed conditions. They are responsible for resolving any issues related to the installation and future operation of the infrastructure, from the description of the process, to the design, acquisition of necessary equipment, execution of the work and finally the comissioning of the installations. This is a technical role which requires large amounts of collaboration with other departments, as well as often involving leading multidisciplinary teams.

Tasks

  • Coordinate planning of the project. Responsible for organising and dimensioning the project team, delegating roles and tasks to each member, setting targets, workloads and working hours, etc.
  • Participate in the design phase for electrical installation projects for residential, tertiary and healthcare building projects, as well as in other fields, depending on the nature of the company. Within this role they are responsible for:
    - Developing the detail engineering phase. Following the definition phase of the project, they are responsible for the implementation phase, establishing the definitive plans and documentation (one-line diagrams, equipment implementation, route plans, power distribution plans, etc.).
    - Making calculations (load flow, dimensions of machines, engine ignition tests, etc..), present final reports, specifications, budgets and documentation necessary to complete the project.
  • Manage the acquisition of machines and electrical equipment.
  • Where appropriate, oversee the process of obtaining legal approval for the installations designed.
  • Offer technical support on site and oversee ongoing projects.
  • Coordinate and manage small project teams (between 1 and 10 workers).
  • May occasionally be required to train members of the team or other parties involved in the project.
  • Assist with the commissioning of installations alongside the relevant manager(s).
