Unlike technicians responsible for newly constructed works, the scope of activity of building restoration experts is the recovery, restoration and modernisation of already-built buildings. • Study, analyse and interpret the restoration projects' graphic documentation and technical specifications, establishing basic criteria for executing the works.
• Forecast, plan and organise prior works necessary for project execution such as shoring up, installing machines or auxiliary means (lifting devices, scaffolding, etc.) and adopt protection measures or means.
• Plan, organise and coordinate the execution of the different works required to carry out the execution project, assuring that the proper sequence is followed for the different sections comprising it, such as demolition, design changes and restoration or building different construction elements.
• Create and verify budgets, measurements and certifications.
• Execute and verify redesigns of the different elements that must be restored or built.
• Take the instructions of the site manager and the health and safety coordinator into account and implement them during the construction process.
• Verify and control the different executed works, adapting them to the execution budget and based on the established technical criteria and compliance with site planning.
• Execute and verify quality control.
• Manage procurement.
• Carry out maintenance operations on tools, work machines and equipment.
• Handle the elements, tools, materials, auxiliary means and group and individual protection needed to perform all tasks.
