Description

The professional profile of a technician/specialist in engine and auxiliary systems for sport and recreational boat focuses on the execution of engine repair and maintenance operations, propulsion systems, steering and machinery. These tasks involve the installation and maintenance of engines and their parts, checking the operation of the auxiliary systems at the mechanical level and carrying out any replacements considered appropriate. Using established procedures and complying with the required safety, occupational risk prevention and environmental specifications.
He or she works mainly in small companies that carry out the maintenance, repair and restructuring of recreational boats and yachts, specializing in the maintenance of nautical engines and engine auxiliary systems.

Tasks

- Inspection and maintenance of the engine of boats, including their ancillary systems.
- Dismantle defective mechanical engine parts and replace them.
- Carry out appropriate examinations and detection procedures to detect possible damage to the nautical engine.
- Development of electromechanical maintenance tasks and installation of propulsion plants, machines and auxiliary systems for the engine of sports and recreational boats.
- Identify and collaborate in planning the work to be carried out with the rest of the specialist technicians, respecting the organic and functional hierarchy of the organisation.
