Description

The professional profile of a technician specialized in nautical welding is basically dedicated to fabricating, assembling and repairing metallic elements and structures on sport and recreational craft. Both fixed and mobile, as well as to maintaining auxiliary equipment and systems. The thoroughness and rigor in the execution of this task involves tracing, cutting and shaping the metal structures, installations and products of mechanical fabrication, in accordance with the specifications of welding procedures (WPS), with quality, safety and respect for the environment.
He or she works mainly for small companies that carry out the maintenance, repair and restructuring of recreational boats and yachts, specializing in the manufacture, assembly and repair of metal parts that require welding and industrial boilermaking techniques, as well as knowledge of the hardware industry and/or the assembly and maintenance of hydraulic systems.

Tasks

  • Develop mechanization and welding procedures on ships and boats.
  • Repair, maintenance and assembly of customized hydraulic systems, complying with the required regulations, according to quality and occupational risk prevention criteria.
  • To carry out fabrication, assembly and repair operations on boilermaking elements and metal structures, applying the necessary techniques and established procedures.
  • Perform mechanical or thermal cutting and welding in accordance with welding procedure specifications (WPS), or thermal projections, with quality and safety criteria.
