Description

This professional ensures the good state of conservation and operation of the facilities at the marinas and yacht harbours. He/she assumes the functions of maintenance and also carries out the tasks of mooring ships, assisting the crews in mooring manoeuvres. He or she is also in charge of supplying fuel to the customer boats at the marinas and provides them with basic supplies (water and electricity).

Tasks

- Carries out inspection and control rounds on the facilities, checking that the boats are moored correctly and amending what is appropriate.
- Plan and execute the maintenance tasks for the installations to be carried out.
- Ensures the safety of installations and compliance with applicable regulations.
- Controls and compiles all the services that each customer has received for invoicing purposes, controlling the consumption they have made, as well as the traffic of ships entering and leaving the port.
- Proposes the purchase of new equipment and materials for the purpose of replacement and improvement of facilities, in order to ensure their optimum operation.
- Supervises the execution of professional tasks in the event that he/she has support staff in charge.
- Assists boats leaving or entering port in mooring manoeuvres to proceed with maximum safety.
- Controls the available moorings and plans their use according to the expected entries and exits.
- Responsible for the management and organisation of cleaning and waste collection tasks, ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities.
- Supervises and controls the access of people to the port.
