Description

The sailing technician is dedicated to teaching the sailing courses that are often registered in the sailing clubs housed on the marinas. They also train sportsmen or sports women and sailing teams that compete in national or international regattas and sporting events. As well as having the authority to manage and organise sporting events in this field with the aim of promoting this sport. This professional profile is characterized by being able to motivate and instruct people on how to start sailing on a fixed or free device. Therefore, he/she has the specific accreditation that allows him/her to steer a recreational boat up to eight metres in accordance with safety and environmental conditions guaranteeing the satisfaction of users and sportsmen who carry out this activity.

Tasks

- Motivate, instruct and make the initiation of sailing a reality.
- Organize, accompany and protect the athletes and users during the participation in competitions and sporting events, accompanying or directing the sailors during the activities.
- Direct, adapt and enhance the training and improvement sessions of the sports teams on sailing boats, using boats with fixed and free rigging.
- Steering recreational boats of up to eight metres in length.
- Managing the necessary material resources and taking responsibility for the safety of navigation and the sports facilities used.
