Private network operation technician

Description

This professional is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and checking of private networks based on radiocommunication systems known as trunking. These telephone systems include permanent, portable and mobile equipment and differ from traditional systems in the sense that they ensure privacy, remove interference, provide operational reliability and enable immediate intercommunication between interlocutors. The main fields of application of this kind of network are emergency services, transport, law enforcement, etc. When using this system, users can be absolutely certain that no other user can receive the signal or hear or interfere with their communications.

Tasks

  • See to the set-up and installation of new private networks using the most suitable means and techniques.
  • See to the technical approval and validation of new systems, carrying out the tests required to guarantee their proper operation.
  • Guarantee the quality of the service offered, respecting the safety conditions and current regulations in force.
  • Carry out operation and supervision tasks for readily installed private networks using remote control and advanced supervision systems.
  • See to the maintenance of the networks and any integrated equipment. Also draw up system failure reports.
  • Update the software used in the network and terminals.
  • Occasionally contribute to the design and implementation of new networks.
