Private network engineer

Description

In charge of designing private network implementation projects based on radiocommunication systems known as trunking. These telephone systems include permanent, portable and mobile equipment,and differ from traditional systems in the sense that they remove interference, ensure privacy, operational reliability and enable immediate intercommunication between interlocutors. The main fields of application of such networks are emergency services, transport, law enforcement, etc. When using this system, users can be absolutely assured that no other person can receive the signal, or hear or interfere with their communications.

Tasks

In charge of the design, implementation, operation and management of private networks:
  • Carry out the technical assessment of projects based on radio-communication systems.
  • Check that the network and terminal software is up to date.
  • Supervises the tasks carried out by network operators.
  • Also in charge of reengineering current networks in the event of new implementations, modifications or expansion projects. Must take into account that the standards these networks are based on are dynamic in kind and that consequently, networks must constantly be adapted to the needs of the business. This is why one of the most common duties of these professionals is the constant adjustment of the network to new requirements.
