Description

The babysitter offer babysitting services for children from other families, attending to their basic needs as well as their physical, cognitive and emotional development.

Tasks

  • Provide child care services for children, who need the attention and care of an adult in the absence of their parents.
  • Attend to the children, watching out for their personal hygiene and safety and encouraging their hygienic habits.
  • Control the eating habits of the children they are caring for:
    Plan the menus, in accordance with a diet that is balanced and recommended by specialists.
    Is responsible for providing food in those cases where the parents so require it.
    Prepare meals when agreed, in accordance with the scheduled menus and planned dietary criteria.
    Help the children who need assistance with eating food and stimulate their independence.
  • Carry out playful and educational tasks with the children.
    Share personal feelings or experiences related to the activities and experiences of the day.
    Attend to each child in a personalised manner (through the playing of lap games, looking at a mobile phone, reading a story, helping them do a puzzle, talking, etc).
  • Use several techniques to facilitate learning.
    Give clear guidelines and use terms that are appropriate for children.
    Organise simple and complex tasks for the children.
    Actively participate in manual activities.
    Tell stories.
    Try to expand the children's vocabulary.
  • Pay attention to the learning and growing processes of the children:
    Recognise the children when they are speaking and listen to their ideas, using physical gestures or verbal responses.
    Attend to a child when they are crying.
  • Assist in the process of the child's socialisation.
    Promote contact among a small group of children.
    Participate in different activities organised by the various children's entities.
