Instructor of complementary school services

The extra-curricular services facilitator carries out extra-curricular leisure and socio-educational activities in the education field. Their activity can be carried out in different spaces of the entity, managing the operation of the dining room service, the leisure hours on the playground, or planning extra-curricular activities, which can include sports as well as the creation of leisure, playful and recreational activities.

• Design, develop and assesses extra-curricular activities that are suitable for the group with which one works.
  Study the characteristics of the group of children or youth.
  Select which activities are best suited to their profile.
  Discuss with the entity the possibility of carrying them out.
  Prepare the physical spaces and materials necessary for the correct carrying out of the activities.
  Periodically establishes controls in order to review the proper operation of the entire set of activities.
• Put in operation the scheduling of activities:
  Hold meetings with the rest of instructors in order to correctly coordinate the objectives and resources.
  Distribute tasks among the instructors, adapting to each of their characteristics.
  Enhance the children's learning by making good use of free-time and foster civic and social values.
• Offer support to the centre in other activities.
  Be involved in multi-disciplinary meetings of the teaching staff in order to comment on the situation of the children's group.
  Collaborate in the educational counselling of the children.
  Be aware of the physical, safety and hygiene conditions of the facilities used by the children.
  Attend to the children's parents.
• Supervise the development of children who need special education.
  Adapt the planned activities to the needs of these children.
  Carry out personalised monitoring of each case.
  Talk about the evolution with the pertinent professionals who relate with the child.

Training

Activities that are specific to this field include prior assessment of the student's characteristics and needs, design of the teaching materials, as well as monitoring and support during the learning process.

Social community worker

Individuals related to the social/community field have an interest in working to improve people's social well-being and quality of life, as well as enhance their integration into their social, family and/or work environment. The professional activities that are common in this field include providing special support and aid to people at risk of social exclusion, designing programmes and implementing resources for the social and cultural stimulation of an area, and acting as mediators for conflict resolution in family, social or interpersonal environments. These activities involve constant interaction with people in order to improve their psychological and social well-being.
