Job Placement Technician

Description

The job placement specialist carries out actions aimed at facilitating the incorporation of individuals into the labour market. Their activity includes actions related to analysis, information, guidance, motivation, training, counselling and assistance for individuals, generally those with placement difficulties, with the aim of developing their hirability and helping them enter the labour market and keep their job.

Tasks

  • Analyse the assessment of the individual's employment situation during a personalised interview.
    Develop an indicator system for the assessment.
    Identify the individual's specific demand (motivation, expectations, etc.) and adapt it to the job placement service (if necessary, send the individual to another specialised service, which is more appropriate for the situation).
    Detect the deficiencies and needs (risk factors) and the potentialities (facilitating factors) related to the individual's vocational interests, professional skills (attitudes, abilities and knowledge), training or work experience.
    Prepare the final assessment report.
  • Determine and organise the courses of action that facilitate the individual's job placement.
    Design placement methodologies and strategies with respective objectives, content and activities.
    Plan the placement programmes (socio-occupational, training and introduction into the working world, etc).
    Organise and supervise the work of other specialists or experts.
    Supervise the placement activities based on the established programme and methodology.
  • Put into practice the job placement actions of the programme.
    Provide information on the job market and training system.
    Guide the individual's job placement process.
    Promote the placement activities and the individual's commitment to these.
    Shape and stimulate the individual's professional and personal development.
    Accompany them during the job placement process.
  • Mediate between the labour supply and demand.
    Know the training and labour resources in the area.
    Create and maintain relationship ties with companies and institutions that favour job placement.
    Establish mechanisms to guarantee the individual's relationship with the existing training and labour resources.
    Manage the placement of the individual.
  • Put into practice the job placement activities included in the programme (when required).
    Contribute to the individual's social insertion in their environment.
    Facilitate the integration into the neighbourhood's association network.
    Promote and strengthen ties with the primary socialisation groups (family and friends).
    Channel the information related to social services and resources (public health, socio-educational, etc.) that assist the individual in their specific situation.
  • Assess the procedural and final results of the intervention, applying the appropriate assessment techniques and procedures.
    Assess the impact of each of the actions carried out.
    Control, follow-up and assess, in a permanent and personalised manner, the individual's evolution in their programme and the level of job placement reached.
