Description

Professional that instructs people that are blind or have visual deficiencies in the use of any typhlo-technical devices or equipment (technology enabling people with visual deficiencies to access information); also teaches computer skills for applications and programs of interest to these groups to help them obtain personal, academic and professional independence.

Tasks

  • Elaborate, implement and evaluate specific teaching programs for different technical units for the blind.
    Provide any necessary technical support.
  • Analyze, in the area of influence, the workplace subject to adjustment and complete the opportune preliminary report of proposed adjustments and other considerations that meet user needs.
  • Provide technical advice to general users on possible problems that may emerge, as well as on innovations that take place in the units used.
  • Collaborate in the study and assessment of the accessibility needs as well as the installation and implementation of the proposed material for adjustment of the workplace.
  • Advise and provide technical support to the team of educators, relatives and technical staff outside the organization (educational centers, companies, etc).
