Description

The job creation programme management technician is the professional responsible for managing the administrative process to apply for grants to carry out job creation programmes. In other words, they design the job creation programme, prepare the grant application, carry out the administrative procedures necessary to receive it, manage the execution of the programme, and follow-up and conduct a subsequent evaluation.

Tasks

This professional works primarily within the Public Administration in the areas of employment or education. However, they can also work at private companies in the human resources department, managing the supply-driven training and demand-driven training that can be requested of the Tripartite Foundation for Training and Employment or the Continuing Education Consortium of Catalonia. The tasks of the job creation programme management technician are as follows:
  • Seek information on grants in order to carry out job creation programmes. These can be traditional programmes subsidised by the Catalan Employment Service (SOC) or the Department of Education, for example, trade schools, vocational schools, employment plans, initial professional qualification programmes or other new programmes that arise as the result of a specific social and labour context.
  • Prepare the grant application in order to carry out the job creation programme. The application usually requires certain information, such as, the training programme, target audience, material and human resources, budget, available infrastructures and individuals in charge.
  • Manage and monitor the execution of the programme.
  • Manage the process for selecting the target audience that will participate in the job creation programme.
  • Coordinate the assigned work team in order to carry out the programme. This team is usually made up of at least the following professionals: trainers, technicians and administrative staff.
  • To prepare the report that evaluates and justifies the programme that will be presented to the appropriate administration that has subsidised it.
