Social and cultural organisation manager

Description

Non-profit organisations managers are responsible for managing and coordinating non-profit organisations (associations, social cooperatives and foundations) aimed at providing services to the community.
With a non-commercial purpose, these organizations offer services in different areas of activity such as educational and sociocultural leisure time, home care, social intervention with children, youth, families and other groups of people at risk of social exclusion.

These professionals are responsible for the understanding with the public administration, given that a large number of these organizations manage public services, the implementation of the policies and decisions made by the governing body and the human and economic resources management in order to achieve the goals of the organization. They are the last person in charge of the administration, the capture of extraordinary resources and the coordination of the entire work team.

  • Execute the company's operational plans in order to meet the targets set by the board of directors.
  • Manage and optimise the human resources available, such as employees and volunteers.
  • Draw up and execute the annual budget management plan, and undertake the management and monitoring of fundraising initiatives.
  • Coordinate the various departments, ensuring policies are applied properly and defining methodological tools to improve the organisation's management alongside the rest of the team.
  • Strengthen institutional and political ties and sign cooperation agreements.
  • Carry out marketing and awareness campaigns, and promote strategies to expand the organisation's reach.
  • Design mechanisms to assess the activity carried out by the organisation and, on the basis of the results, undertake the design of a new action plan.
