Description

The Ocupational therapy service manager leads a training project in a certain area. The training programme consists of a therapy project carried out within the environment in which the vocational school is held. Usually, it materialises in the restoration of a building or facility, the restoration or fitting out of a space and, in short, in the offering of services or facilities for public use.

Tasks

  • Plan and organise the occupational therapy.
    Prepare and organise an action plan that brings the training programme in line with the work or service that is carried out with the aim of obtaining the professional qualification of the students/workers and their subsequent job placement.
    Assess and reorient the operation of the occupational therapy or employment workshop, based on the continuous assessment of the trainers/instructors and of the group of students/workers.
    Establish and announce internal regulations and ensure their compliance.
  • Monitor and manage the carrying out of the project.
    Manage the material resources.
    Guarantee the availability of material both in the field of training and the execution of the project.
    Ensure the suitability of the facilities and infrastructure needs to carry out the activity. (changing rooms, toilets, etc.)
    Manage and control the assigned budget.
    Supervise the safety plans and promote the prevention of occupational risks.
  • Lead the training activities that are carried out.
    Manage the teaching staff and plan the training activities.
    Establish guidelines for the programmes related to the job placement of the students/workers and guide the individual programmes of each.
    Supervise the individual assessment of the students.
  • Externally represent the occupational therapy service in the area.
    Establish contacts with companies and organisations related to the professional field in which the students are trained, with the aim of promoting training activities, visits, work experiences, job placement, etc.
  • Coordinate the human resources.
    Establish criteria for and carry out the selection of the teaching staff / instructors.
    Draw up criteria for the selection and monitoring of the hiring of the students/workers.
    Decide, in accordance with the training specialists and instructors, the proposals for hiring the students/workers.
