Description

These professionals are responsible for inspecting transport passes or tickets. In other words, they check that people using public transport (bus, metro, train, tram, etc.) possess tickets for their journey. Similarly, they deal with and answer said users' queries.

Tasks

Revenue protection inspectors' main tasks can be summed up as follows:
  • To inspect passengers' tickets at the entrances to and inside modes of transport.
  • To advise public transport users on their journey needs, offering information and recommendations.
  • To produce reports and statements about cases of users who have not purchased a ticket.
  • To issue tickets inside the mode of transport, allowing passengers who have not already purchased them prior to boarding to do so.
  • To give users information about possible issues: for example, delays, stops, timetables (arrival times), destinations, changes in order to get to a particular destination, etc.
