Description

These professionals are responsible for driving buses or coaches and transporting passengers in line with the established timetables and routes. They are responsible for the quality and comfort of the journey, with a particular emphasis on the needs of users.

Tasks

A bus driver's main responsibilities can be summed up as follows:
  • Driving city or discretionary buses or coaches, transporting passengers within the established timetables and routes, assisting them and maximising the quality and comfort of their travel experience.
  • Helping passengers with queries about mobility, route interchanges and urban transport.
  • Offering information about fares and selling tickets.
  • Helping to resolve possible issues efficiently and appropriately, and channelling complaints and suggestions.
  • Liaising with the bus traffic control centre when necessary, for instance to report incidents, delays, increases in traffic, etc.
