Solar Power Panel Fitter; Solar Installations Fitter; Solar Power Systems Installer; Solar Installations Repair - Maintenance Technician

Assemble, repair and start up the electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic systems of capital equipment and industrial machinery, based on technical assembly plans and instructions, using the required utensils and tools, maintaining the capital equipment and industrial machinery in good working condition and available during the guarantee period and fulfilling work-related risk prevention and environmental protection regulations.
They work in the assembly and installation of industrial machinery and equipment. They may also work in Technical Assistance Services (TAS) in capital equipment and machine-tool manufacturing companies. Generally speaking, in medium- and large-size companies, they report to a senior technician and they may also be in charge of a group of operators. They work in small- and medium-size companies in the machine and electrical, electronic and industrial automation systems manufacturing sectors.

• Fit electrical circuits and equipment at thermal solar installations in accordance with the corresponding project or assembly programme:
  Fit the ductwork, electrical conductors and detector elements at the installation.
  Construct and assemble the control and automation panels of the installation in accordance with the Low-Voltage Electro-Technical Regulations.
• Start up the installation and run the functioning operations of the thermal solar installation:
  Start up the installation, checking the optimum working of the activation, regulation and control system of the complex and adjusting the parameters to the reference ones shown in the project or technical report.Carry out the operation manoeuvres in the distribution system of the primary and secondary circuits, accessories and elements of control and regulation at the thermal solar installation in compliance with the regulatory requirements, in the established safety conditions.
• Carry out the corrective maintenance and repair the components of the thermal solar installations:
  Carry out the preventive maintenance operations of the thermal solar installations on the basis of plans, rules and technical specifications.
  Carry out the corrective maintenance and repair of components of the thermal solar installations, establishing the action process, using instruction manuals and plans and re-establishing the functional conditions with quality and safety.

• Fit photovoltaic solar installations:
  Fit supports, panels and storage/accumulation systems at photovoltaic solar installations, including with a tracking system, on the basis of plans and technical specifications, complying with the regulatory requirements and applicable rules, in the conditions of quality and safety established by regulations.
  Fit conventional generator units, low-power wind systems and other support systems of photovoltaic solar installations, on the basis of plans and technical specifications, complying with the regulatory requirements and applicable rules, in the established conditions of quality and safety.
• Start up and run the operations of the photovoltaic solar installation:
  Start up and check the operation of photovoltaic solar installations, on the basis of plans and technical specifications, complying with the regulatory requirements and applicable rules, in the established conditions of quality and safety.
  Carry out the manoeuvre and preventive maintenance operations of photovoltaic solar installations on the basis of plans, rules and technical specifications for their operation within the established parameters.
  Act according to the company's safety plan, carrying out preventive, corrective and emergency tasks, applying the established measures and complying with current rules and legislation in the maintenance of photovoltaic solar installations.
• Carry out the corrective maintenance operations at photovoltaic solar installations, establishing the action process, using instruction manuals and plans and re-establishing the functional conditions with the required quality and safety.

Experience in electrical installations and holding an electrician's licence issued by the Catalan Government is recommended.
