Hotel event host

This professional is in charge of programming, coordinating and executing leisure and sports activities in order to ensure that hotel establishment customers enjoy their free time in an active and participative manner. Theses persons have a talent for public relations and good communications skills.

• Devise the entertainment programme and organise the various activities according to the characteristics of the tourist group or prospective clients (group size, age, culture, motivation, etc.).
• Ensure that all the materials required to carry out entertainment activities are available, even creating make-up, costumes and sets when necessary.
• Carry out the set-up and control of simple lighting and sound equipment.
• Monitor the games, contests, craft and expression workshops and activities listed in the entertainment programme.
• Lead physical activities suitable for leisure and recreation (choreographies, dance and sports activities).
• Assess the receptiveness of clients to these activities in order to carry out the necessary improvements and ensure the appeal of the programme.
• Promote different activities to clients.
• Attend to any possible complaints.
• May even draw up activity programme budgets and quotes.

• Work hours

  The working day is variable and can be part-time or full-time. Depending on the type of activity, one can work morning, afternoon or night shifts. Working on public holidays is commonplace.

• Salary

  Between 18.157 and 28.018 Euros per annum, gross. Median: 22.555 euros annum gross. Accommodation and upkeep are usually paid in addition to wages.
