Biotech/Pharma marketing manager

Description

Marketing is the discipline that studies the behaviour of markets and consumers. Marketing seeks to position a product, a brand or a service in the mind of the consumer using different tools and strategies. A good part of society often does not know about the products professionals work with in the biotech field. Biotechnological marketing managers are responsible for finding and analysing potential markets and for positioning products. To achieve this objective, they work closely with other departments, such as the production and R&D departments.

Tasks

  • Define the marketing policy and strategy for the company's products and services.
  • Design market entry strategies and create the image of the products.
  • Design and direct promotional campaigns for products.
  • Deal with analysing the competitive environment and the future trend of the market.
  • Position the product on the market, create the image, find the name, and manage the launch within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Design product penetration strategies, and direct and supervise promotional and advertising actions, in collaboration with advertising agencies, press agents and the media.
  • Participate in the creation of advertising materials and supports.
  • Monitor campaigns, namely, the acceptance of existing or new products and services.
  • Attend trade shows and conferences to contact with companies and institutions who may be potential customers.
