Production Manager; Plant Manager.

Description

The plant manager is in charge of all activities related to the production process (manufacturing, quality, maintenance, logistics, purchasing, etc), in accordance with the guidelines set by management. They manage, control and support the workers and technical elements involved in the manufacturing process. In addition, they manage and control the improvements made to the organisation of the production processes according to the quality, environmental and occupational risk prevention regulations. This profile answers to the production or industrial director.

Tasks

  • Implement production strategies in accordance with the management team's objectives.
  • Plan the manufacturing programmes.
  • Implement and carry out the quality, environmental and occupational risk prevention policies.
  • Ensure the proper operation of the logistics and supply department.
  • Develop production and/or assembly lines for new products.
  • Plan and organise the maintenance of the manufacturing process.
  • Carry out the ongoing task of process analysis and organisation, with the aim of obtaining maximum productivity and efficiency levels, while implementing programmes of continuous improvement. Adapt production to the competitiveness demands and market needs, in collaboration with other departments of the company (technical department, quality, etc).
  • Lead the team and keep them motivated, making the best use of their talent.
  • Participate in staff training tasks.
  • Ensure that the budget is met, organising the team and its resources, and manage the raw material supply.
