Project manager

Description

Industrial product managers oversee the direction of development projects (design, construction and installation) of products or systems; projects that will differ according to the type of industry in which they carry out their functions. Generally, their responsibilities cover the entire project, from conception to installation, testing and delivery of the product or system for the client, they also project the production lines and work teams by managing human and material resources assigned to the project. This profile usually depends on the technical office manager.

Tasks

Industrial project managers carry out the following tasks:
  • Manage the project in order to ensure their optimal execution regarding time (schedules), efforts, costs (both human and material) and quality.
  • Set the program of execution of the project in each stage.
  • Select the working team and assign them the tasks. Contract the necessary material.
  • Specify and assign the necessary resources for each project based on the existing structure. Oversee external suppliers.
  • Carry out the set-up of the production lines or resulting working team and ensure the proper operation.
  • Oversee the advances of the project and manage the problems that may occur. Define the solutions to be adopted and update the planning of the project according to them.
  • In charge of informing the manager company and the client about the development of the project.
  • Carry out administration tasks concerning the project. Manage the documentation and is responsible for control and financial management of the project.
  • Oversee the tests carried out in the system until achieve the acceptance or approval from the client.
