Description

Intellectual property managers assess the soundness of patents and other methods for protecting intellectual property rights. This makes them experts in the legislation in the field, while they must also be familiar with the new legislative framework in which the assignment of these rights must be negotiated.

Tasks

  • Analyse and interpret the regulations on intellectual property rights.
  • Analyse the conditions in which the protection of intellectual property rights can be guaranteed.
  • Advise companies and public institutions on the conditions for safeguarding the property rights relating to their assets.
  • Research, document and prepare cases in which charges have been brought due to infringement of current regulations on competition.
  • Advise companies and institutions on the most suitable strategies for optimising the value of their intellectual property rights portfolios.
